Power Ranger franchise was started in 1993 and its first season was Power rangers Mighty Morphin and this series is still running and in 2023 franchise will complete 30 years. People witnessed many seasons of this franchise like inaugural mighty morphin to beast morphers

All power rangers seasons are adaptations of Super Sentai Seasons aired in Japan. Super Sentai celebrated their 35th anniversary with a very amazing and successful season Pirate Sentai Gokaiger. 

Power Rangers were also entering in its 20th year anniversary so as usual they adapted Gokaiger and launched Power Rangers Super Megaforce

5 Reasons Why Gokaiger Is Way Better Than Super Megaforce

1. Pirate Theme

Gokaigers were shown as space pirates in show and it is shown in their costumes and in Gokai Gallion also . They were in search of the most greatest treasure of universe and whole season spins about it.  

But in Power Rangers Super Megaforce the team was not having any connection to Pirate Theme. It was just shown that Gosei gave them super mega keys and just it nothing else. Troy and his friends were normal earth teenagers and were no pirates and that's why the costumes were not having much feel. 

2. Difference In Storylines

Gokaiger is way ahead in storyline than Super Megaforce. Super Megaforce was just a flat storyline show with just legendary transformations and fights but Gokaiger was having annual emotion in every episode.  

Backdrop of Basco Marvellous and Aka Red as space pirates was just amazing and how Basco regularly appear in show and gave many surprises to Gokaigers was amazing a thing that Super Megaforce surely misses. 

3. Legendary Rangers Cameos

Gokaigers saw many previous super sentai members in its journey helping pirates in their journey to the greatest treasure. It was shown that for unlocking new megazord artillery gokaigers should gain grand power of each super Sentai and this whole journey was very exciting to see as we saw gokaigers passing through many hurdles.

 

In case of super Megaforce just Jayden and Casey showed up and we missed everything that might overpower the nostalgia of season. Legendary battles showed some of the previous rangers but it was not enough and super Megaforce also does not have any concept of obtaining grand powers so whole journey of them seems uninteresting in comparison to Gokaigers. 

4. Character Development

Gokaigers saw the development in all characters ranging from Marvelous, Joe, Doc, Luka, Ahim and Gai. All the pirates were shown fighting their previous fears and were shown developing. It can be seen in Marvellous's improvement in understanding of teamwork, Joe's regular combat with Barizorg, Doc's overcome of his fears and many more instances that showed Gokaigers characters were improved with each passing episode. 

Whereas Super Megaforce characters were just flat. They don't have any tragic past and were just normal teenagers. They just fought in every episode and just it nothing else. Only development we saw was in last when Gia kisses Jake and they both accepted their feelings towards each other. 

5. Less Loopholes In Storyline

Gokaigers had a perfectly sealed storyline with a minimal amount of loopholes kn storyline but same is not the case with super Megaforce. 

In Super Megaforce one episode showcases Noah as a specialist swordsman while he had nothing to do with swords earlier. Reality is that Saban just wanted to use Gokaiger's footage of episode in which Joe San fought with memories of Barizorg to use as it is and in effort of it they make Noah as skilled as Joe which is very hard to digest. 

Another one is that Jake was shown less strong than Noah in Super Megaforce while in Megaforce it was vice versa. It was just shown in accordance to Joe and Doc but it does not fit in the scene for Super Megaforce. 

There can be more fan reasons but for today I will end the post with only these 5.
