1. Tobey Maguire was not the first and only choice to play Spiderman. Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor, Scott Seedsman, Heath Ledger and Leonardo DiCaprio were also on the cards for the role of Peter Parker but finally Tobey was casted as Peter Parker. 

2. At the time of Spiderman 2 Tobey was suffering from a back injury and then Jake Gyllenhaal was considered to replace Tobey but at the start of shooting Tobey became fit and shooting started. 

3.The famous canteen scene where Peter catches the tray and rescue MJ took 156 takes as it was original filming without any visual effects. 

4. Sam Raimi explained why Peter doesn't use mechanical web shooters like Comics as he was a middle class boy who as per story is not having any financial aid to arrange mechanical shooters. So in trilogy instead of mechanical shooters natural web shooters were shown. 

5. Originally a crossover between Hugh Jackman's wolverine and Peter was planned but it got cancelled as at the time of shooting Jackman's costume was stolen.

 

6. During the shooting 4 spiderman suits of worth $50, 000 each were stolen and were sold in NewYork, Japan and Europe. After investigation the thief was recognised as the security guard of shooting set and reportedly he had also stolen Christian Bale's Bat armor also. 

7.Originally along with Dr. Octopus Black Cat, Lizard and Harry Osbon' s green Goblin were also planned in Spiderman 2 movie but Sam Raimi thought that this will make the movie more complex so he dropped the multi villian plan.
