1. Christopher Nolan and his brother Jonathan Nolan wrote the story for dark Knight trilogy. 

Nolan took inspiration from 1987's Batman Year One for James Gordon and Bruce Wayne's introduction, 1988's the killing joke for Joker, 1995's Batman:The Dark Halloween for Harvey Dent and 1986's The Dark Knight Returns for the dark Knight Rises. 

2. Heath Ledger was the first choice for Bruce Wayne as per Nolan but he passed the role.
