So here we are in the season of cricket as CWC 23 is on and this time we are hosts and one thing apart from low attendance count in stadiums which is targeted is the Title song of tournament Dil Jashan bole. 

I don't know whether you have been through it uptill now or not but if you are on social media which I am sure you are that's why you are reading this blog right now I guess you surely have come across the memes and hate posts on the song comparing it with previous edition's theme. 

So let's see whether the anthem is just a victim of nostalgia or is it actually bad. 

Dil Jashan Bole: Victim Of Nostalgia? 

So first we come to why the song is not being liked among fans. The main reason which comes is that the Pritam musical is being compared to 2011's Shankar Ehsaan Loy's De ghuma ke and 2015's Bob's song. 

So can we just feel pity on the anthem. No, according to me the video of the anthem is pulling down the status of song. Like I am big Ranveer singh fan and he as always has just matched the energy of the song but what is lacking in the video is cricket. 

Yes like if you remember or just rewatch the video of De ghuma ke or Bob's tune the video has cricket in it. Their were visuals of cricket in it and who have suggested to bring these influencers in video. Like one want to see cricketers or people cheering and admiring cricket in the video but why will I hyped up by seeing Flying beast in the anthem. 

But then again 2019's song Stand by also don't have cricket related thing but it is also ahead of this video because it is not made on green screen. Anthems are for masses and they should be shot outdoors not in a toy train vfx like setup. 

Like imagine what would be the video if same ranveer would just in his gully boy avatar with some international cricketers and some street kids would shot same song. Man it would be epic. 

But is only the video faulty no the song also just feels like a victory song like it is specially made for being jammed on streets after India won the world Cup. The music the catchy phrase 'dil jashan bole' all are giving feeling of after tournament victory dance. Whereas the anthem's motive is to hype up the public for tournament. And the best in business for this was 2015's Bob's Tune and even my personal favorite is 2021 T20 CWC's Amit Trivedi musical Live the game Love the game. That was such a good song. 

But we also could not deny that nostalgia is a big obstacle in every new project as how much good a new piece of art is at first it struggles to connect to people in the same way as an old project as with time passes we attach our own made memories with a song and new one seems strange to us but that doesn't mean the song is fully bad. Every project has its own flaws but have it's own unique flavor. 

Like the energy level and rock music of this anthem is something which excites me every time and is worth of dancing upon in the whole world Cup to cheer on every boundary scored and wicket taken. 

But we don't know when we will listen this song on every boundary and hopefully on Rohit lifting ..(Don't talk about it as instructed by MSD in new Oreo commercial)it will capture a special spot in our heart and be memorable.
